Rachel Furner - 'No Logic In Love'

Now if someone would have asked me a year ago who Rachel Furner was I wouldn't have known. A year on, that's something I'm almost ashamed to admit. I had the great pleasure of seeing Rachel Furner live at Lady Antebellum's debut gig in Shepherd's Bush early last year and was happily surprised. From her up-beat, almost poppy "No Logic In Love" to her amazing cover of La Roux's "In For The Kill" Rachel Furner definitely deserves to have people know her name.

Rachel Furner has been playing music since she was six and after being signed by Mercury Records in 2008 she started work on her debut album. Anyone that was at the ITunes Festival last year would have had the chance to see Rachel live and her performance at the Festival has since spawned a brilliant EP featuring all her best songs. Rachel's music is not my natural music and I have to admit I wouldn't normally have picked it up of the shelf but I would definitely recommend her to any who likes Lily Allen (although she's better) or anyone just looking for completely new music. The up-tempo, almost dance floor rhythms turn Rachel's music into proper feel good music and it is impossible not to tap your feet along. I personally hope there is a lot more of it to come!

She's a definite one to watch! Definite five stars from me!
