CMA Awards 2018 predictions

The CMA Awards are once again fast approaching and, as usual, please read on for my thoughts on who we can expect to see take hope the trophies throughout the night. Do let me know your thoughts!
Come back here straight after the show for a round-up of all the performances and winners!

---------------------------------------------------

Who will win and who should win: Kenny!

Who will win and who should win: I don't feel particularly invested in this category but realistically it is seemingly Chris Stapleton's to lose. It would be lovely to see Keith Urban take it though!

Who should win: It would be really lovely to see Kelsea win this. She is certainly a highly respected artist who, in my opinion, continues to go from strength to strength. Realistically I'm not quite sure that this is her time yet however considering the strength of the other nominees.

Who will win: Got to be Carrie Underwood. I can't see there being an competition to her winning this year.

Who will win and who should win:  Little Big Town surely? I'm not sure that you could argue that any of these groups have had a bigger year than them....Lady Antebellum is actually quite a surprise in my opinion this year

Who will win and who should win: Welcome back Sugarland! As with the Groups category I'm not sure that any of these duos have had a big enough year to challenge them - Brothers Osborne have a possible chance to retain their crown but Jennifer and Kristian have been incredibly well received, with a very impressive album and successful tour.

Who should win and who will win: My initial reaction here is Luke Combs or Chris Janson take the win. Luke has had a strong year but I'd be very surprised if Chris doesn't take this. Building upon releasing a very strong album right at the end of last year, Chris topped the year off with being invited to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry and has certainly gone from strength to strength.

Who will win and who should win: Druck Girl, moving on. Seriously though, amazing song that completely deserves this win.

Who will win and who should win: Whether you like the artists or the song itself (or not!) it surely has to be Meant To Be, undoubtedly a very successful song that still seems to be going strong. I'm not normally a fan of Jason Aldean's but I actually quite like Drowns The Whiskey so wouldn't mind if that won. None of these are songs I've particularly been drawn to unfortunately.

Who will win and who should win: Chris' win for From A Room: Volume One last year probably means he is in with a strong chance to retain the crown with the 'follow up' From A Room: Volume Two. Arguably well supported within country music, I would say Chris stands the most chance of wining this. Unfortunately none of these albums have particularly stood out for me however.

Who should win: This completely 100% utterly deserves to be Drunk Girl, incredible video that can't fail to emotionally connect.

Who will win: Realistically this probably goes to Babe. Compelling video and it features Sugarland alongside Taylor Swift and Brandon Routh.

Who will win and who should win: Realised in benefit the Music Cares Fund and the victims of the Las Vegas shooting, Dear Hate offers a thought provoking duet from one of the rising stars of country music alongside one of it's biggest stars. It's hard to really narrow down this category but Dear Hate would certainly be a deserving winner

Who will win and who should win: Always a hard one to pick without specialist knowledge, this seemingly goes to Mac McAnally.
